"The days are long, but the years fly by." That is a quote from a book I read last year, and I feel every word of it as I write this post a year after my last one. 2025 certainly flew by, and I was flying along on the winds of its journey, trying to hold onto every moment.
There is that paradoxical statement, "So much has changed, yet nothing has changed." That was my life last year. I found another bookstore for my book to live. I found my way to TikTok to expand upon my book and live beyond it. I found my way back to a country that I love. I found myself putting time and energy into a new love. During all of that, I still had the same house, the same job, the same friends, and the same anxieties.

While parts of my life and the lives of my loved ones had changed over the course of the year, I remained rooted to my core self. The one thing that keeps me anchored is hope. We can't always control the events that take place in our lives, but we can control the darkness that descends in moments of despair—not that it was always an easy feat. That's why I hold onto hope. It keeps the light on or, at the very least, kindles a spark.
While I'm still trying to balance my personal, professional and author life, I continue to write my story bound by hope.
Until next time... hopefully a lot sooner ;)
Happy New Year!
